- Research Interests:: My primary interests pertain to Second Language Acquisition, Psycholinguistics, and Cognitive Linguistics. My work focuses on the development of motion descriptions by English-Portuguese late bilinguals. In essence, I am interested in how learners employ different linguistic strategies to describe movement through space and how learning a foreign language has an effect on their cognition.
- Teaching Interests:: As one of the department's linguists, I teach courses on Linguistics for Language Educators, English Grammar, and Cognitive Linguistics (Language, Mind and Culture). My main teaching interests are courses on linguistics and on learner cognition.
